Dungey Wins The Shootout

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Suzuki mounted Ryan Dungey proved to be the man to beat in Las Vegas this past weekend. The Rockstar Makita Suzuki backed rider posted the fastest lap time during day qualifying and put in a solid 2nd place finish in his heat race. When the gates dropped for the main event it was Dungey and Ryan Villopoto who separated themselves from the rest of the field as they attacked the slick Vegas track. Dungey rode in second for most of the race, but on the last lap is when the Suzuki rider decided to strike and take over the lead. The number 28 bike crossed the finish line first and took the glory of the biggest race of the year for the second year in a row. Look for big things to come from this young Suzuki rider as the outdoor nationals start here within the next month. Check out Parts Pit Stop for all your industry needs, news, and updates!
