Dungey Wins The Shootout

Suzuki mounted Ryan Dungey proved to be the man to beat in Las Vegas this past weekend. The Rockstar Makita Suzuki backed rider posted the fastest lap time during day qualifying and put in a solid 2nd place finish in his heat race. When the gates dropped for the main event it was Dungey and Ryan Villopoto who separated themselves from the rest of the field as they attacked the slick Vegas track. Dungey rode in second for most of the race, but on the last lap is when the Suzuki rider decided to strike and take over the lead. The number 28 bike crossed the finish line first and took the glory of the biggest race of the year for the second year in a row. Wey Feeling Lucky Going Into Vegas

Beast Of The East

For those of you who have been following the east coast supercross series, then the name Trey Canard is nothing new to you. This past weekend the rookie piloted his Honda Crf250 to a win in St. Louis which clinched the East Coast Lites Title over the powerful Ryan Villopoto and his Kawasaki army. Canard rode his Honda hard all season to 4 wins, two top five’s, and a 10th place finish. Canard had an amazing season for only being a 17-year old rookie, and he couldn’t have done it without the Torco Racing Fuels Honda Team. In such a stacked field of racers that Canard was competing against, it shows that Honda hailed victorious and showed that they are the new Beast Of The East! Air Filter Maintenance

If you spend a lot of time riding your motorcycle or ATV, then you probably know that air filter maintenance is an important thing. Cleaning your filter is very important and can affect the performance of your bike or ATV. Riding with a dirty air filter not only under powers your machine, but its also risky. Knowing that there is a possibility that dirt and debris can suck through your filter and into your motor if you leave it dirty and continue to ride.

Cleaning your filter is easy and a good insurance to keeping your bike running strong. First, remove your dirty filter from your machine. Next wash out your filter in filter cleaner and wring it out carefully. Then, allow the filter to sit out and dry. Once all of the water is out of the filter, cover it with quality foam filter oil and work the oil into the filter. Squeeze any excess oil out of the filter and refit the filter back on to your motorcycle or ATV. It is a good idea to wipe all the excess dirt out of your air box to ensure that nothing falls inside your motor while refitting your clean filter.
